covering the leaves
coming down like fine ice mist
over all that we see
Thoughts of warmth and Summer
Had long since faded away
Replaced with grey and quiet skies
Winter has come to stay

Shutting down the world
Bringing to an end
The dreams we once unflured
Hopes and promises made on heated days
